GAS AND OIL FIRED WARM AIR HEATING
We install and service Winterwarm, Powrmatic, Combat, Reznor, Roberts Gordon, Benson and Ambirad Heaters running on natural gas, LPG and oil. We are currently promoting Winterwarm and Powrmatic Heaters. Winterwarm, a Dutch Company has been trading since 1936, meaning they have been in business for nearly 90 years as of 2025. Powrmatic are a British company trading since 1949. Floor standing and Ceiling suspended models are available. High efficiency controllers and de-stratification fans offer significant reductions in running costs.
Winterwarm Heaters: The Energy-Efficient Choice for Industrial Warm Air Heating
Winterwarm industrial warm air heaters offer distinct and measurable benefits compared to older or standard conventional warm air heaters.1 These advantages focus heavily on advanced energy efficiency, sophisticated control features, and a versatile range of heating solutions, making them a preferred choice for modern industrial and commercial environments.
Maximum Efficiency: Lowering Operational Costs with Winterwarm Heaters
The primary advantage of choosing a Winterwarm unit is the significant reduction in operating costs, driven by advanced engineering and innovative burner technology:
-
Advanced Pre-Mix Burner Technology: Unlike many other warm air heater manufacturers, Winterwarm units incorporate a pre-mix zero governor burner, similar to the highly efficient burners found in modern condensing boilers. This system precisely blends all the gas and air before combustion. This advanced method leads to:
-
Lower NOx Emissions: A cleaner, more complete combustion process drastically reduces harmful NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) emissions.
-
Wide Modulation Range: Allows the heater to precisely modulate its heat output to match the room's demand (often down to 20% of max output), preventing energy-wasting cycles and ensuring stable, even heat.
-
-
Condensing Technology (HR Series): Winterwarm's HR (High Efficiency) series utilizes condensing technology, achieving thermal efficiencies of over 100% (net). This process recovers heat from flue gases that would typically be wasted, leading to substantial gas savings (up to 25% compared to standard, non-condensing heaters).
-
EC Fan Technology: Heaters equipped with EC (Electronically Commutated) fans (such as the HR EC-series) drastically cut electricity consumption (up to 25%) and operate with significantly lower noise levels—a key benefit for busy commercial spaces.
Advanced Control for Superior Comfort and Consistent Temperatures
Winterwarm heaters incorporate smart features that improve comfort while maintaining efficiency:
-
Vertical Gradient Control / Delta-T Function: This unique feature (on HR and XR+ models) actively monitors the temperature difference between the floor (working zone) and the ceiling. If a heat buildup is detected at the ceiling, the fan automatically turns on to push the warm air down, acting as a destratification fan before the main burner fires. This optimally utilizes existing heat, ensuring a consistent temperature and further reducing the burner's running time.
-
OpenTherm Control (HR Series): This technology enables precise heating control, allowing the heater to match the heat delivered exactly to the building's current demand, enhancing both efficiency and comfort.
-
Centralized Control Systems: Advanced thermostats (like MultiTherm) can manage up to eight heaters simultaneously, offering programmed time blocks and diagnostic functions for seamless operation.
Versatile Heating Solutions for Every Industrial Application
Winterwarm's extensive product range ensures there is an efficient solution for nearly any industrial or commercial setting:
-
Multiple Fuel Types: Options include high-efficiency gas-fired (condensing and non-condensing), LPHW (Low Pressure Hot Water) for connection to boilers or heat pumps, and Electric heaters (EH Series), ideal for gas-free locations or when using self-generated solar power.
-
Hybrid Options: The innovative Qwikshift Hybrid heaters combine highly efficient heat pump technology with a traditional gas or electric booster for maximum energy flexibility.
-
Flexible Installation: With compact designs and various suspension options (horizontal, vertical, or angled), Winterwarm units can be easily integrated into diverse spaces, from high-ceiling warehouses to showrooms.
Conclusion:
By combining advanced pre-mix zero governor burner technology with condensing warm air heater design and sophisticated control systems like the Delta-T function, Winterwarm heaters offer a modern, highly efficient, and cost-effective heating solution that goes beyond the capabilities of standard industrial models.
